The Native Village of Emmonak is a federally recognized tribe. Emmonak, Alaska, is located at the mouth of the mighty Yukon River in western Alaska. EMK’s 1,300+ tribal citizens are Yup’ik Eskimo. Rooted in tradition and guided by the strength of our ancestors, EMK is a sovereign community committed to the well-being, resilience, and cultural heritage of our people.
